Delivery Manager

Role Description

An experienced Project Manager / Delivery Manager with agile expertise is required to coach and uplift team capability in delivering a key project. You will engage with business experts to redevelop an existing web-based geographic information system (GIS) to meet clear business needs and objectives. This role involves:

    • Managing the project through effective planning to achieve deliverables;
    • Maturing agile processes, procedures, and transfer of knowledge to existing staff;
    • Producing technical documents for record management along the project delivery lifecycle;
    • Ensuring all key stakeholders are motivated, collaborating and working well;
    • Managing and escalating risks, collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate and proactively resolve issues;
    • Building, developing, and sustaining stakeholder relationships including attending workshops and delivering presentations to business areas and senior executives;
    • Facilitating team meetings to include stand-up and sprint planning;
    • Implementing and managing project work plans in Azure DevOps/KANBAN.

Selection Criteria

    • Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within tight timeframes.
    • Proven skills in managing risk and proactively escalating and removing blockers.
    • Sound knowledge of techniques for establishing, planning, monitoring, and reporting change management across information technology (IT) projects.
    • Experience in managing work plans in Azure DevOps or other agile project management tools.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Qualifications in Product Delivery and/or Project Management.
    • Experience with GIS or web application delivery (desirable).
    • Technical / scientific communication skills.
