IT Support Officer

Role Description

A suitably qualified and experienced IT Support Officer is require to join a small, professional team.

In this role you will provide IT end user and operations support to professional and volunteer teams. You will support key IT systems and assist in the delivery of IT projects. This includes both cloud and on-premises systems, hardware, and software. The organisation operates in an on-premises/cloud hybrid environment that is predominantly built around Microsoft products.

Duties will include:

    • Support of Windows desktop operating environments.
    • Set up and support of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Exchange, SharePoint etc).
    • Support and maintenance of Windows and Google cloud environments (users, mail, document shares).
    • Manage the organisation’s business systems including membership database, and digital forms, payment, and communication platform.
    • Support the IT Committee in the delivery of projects across all areas of IT.
    • Support the organisation’s community with the use of all IT resources.
    • Research and test the suitability of new products.
    • Install and upgrade software, configure new desktop and mobile devices, and maintain a high standard of IT security.
    • Create, maintain and update IT policies and procedures.
    • Undertake administrative tasks as required.

Selection Criteria

    • Demonstrated understanding of desktop products (Office, anti-virus etc).
    • Experience in administering and supporting Office 365 and SharePoint.
    • Experience with membership systems.
    • Experience with digital forms, payments, and communications platforms.
    • A basic understanding of networking and routing.
    • The ability to quickly learn new products and applications.
    • Demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and strategic in order to contribute towards the future proofing of the IT environment.
    • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
    • An ability to work effectively within a team and independently to meet deadlines.
    • Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration, or the ability to acquire.
