System Engineer

A System Engineer will be responsible for delivering a range of hosting platforms fit for customer use cases. This includes stakeholder engagement to establish use cases, systems design, configuration management, orchestrated deployment, monitoring, system upgrade & sustainment. A degree of mentoring peers is also required.
They will also provide architectural advice as a subject matter expert to guide customers on the best practice use of hosting platforms. Assistance with troubleshooting where expert knowledge is required.
Duties & Responsibilities (include, not limited to)
- Develop systems engineering documentation, system designs, system maintenance plans & configuration management plans. Contribute to project plan ticketing systems & project timelines.
- Deploy hosting platforms in a scalable & sustainable method. Control source code & maintain consistency in standards across the portfolio of platforms.
- Patch & upgrade existing hosting platforms to improve security standards & provide new features to customers which are available in wider industry.
- Stakeholder engagement to identify business needs. Share knowledge with stakeholders including giving architectural overviews, presentations & responses to requested architectural advice.
- Work with industry partner under direction of team lead to guide & integrate external packages into the environment.
- Conduct system monitoring & UAT testing to forecast expansion & provide forewarning or rapid response to system failures.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrable experience in deploying scalable hosting platforms
- Demonstrable experience in eliciting business needs from stakeholders
Other Requirements:
- You will require an AGSVA TSPV clearance to perform this role. The agency will not sponsor candidates to upgrade their security clearance
- You must be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement
